Sports management companies tie up with MOU for mutual promo activities in respective markets.
Press release June 4, 2010 SportISM and IOS agreed to an MOU to create an entity in India to cross promote events and athletes in their respective markets for the benefit of each other, thus, increasing exposure and business efficiency.
1st June 2010, London, UK. ISM group Ltd and Infinity Optimal Solutions PVT Ltd (IOS) jointly announced a memorandum of understanding to create a joint entity in India which will give them reach and scope into India and Western Europe respectively. With the increasing business from the emerging markets there is a demand for western companies to attend events in India to gain clients from the region. Simultaneously, there is an increasing demand from Indian consumers to attend sporting and other events live at their venues. In addition, the joint venture seeks to support the need of upcoming Indian sports stars for tutelage from world renowned experts and coaches to hone their skills and take their ability to the international level.
“This has been in discussions for over a year now and despite a few setbacks we persevered to show IOS that ISM would be a representative they can trust with their key assets in Europe”, commented Raj Sandhu CEO of ISM Group Ltd. IOS has a more public profile in India, mainly through the organization of football events in India and the management of boxers who have competed in the Olympics and are now household names due to the efforts of IOS. “With Indian consumers beginning to move towards spending their rising disposable incomes, Indian corporate houses seeking to reward their employees through innovative incentive programs and parents beginning to accept and encourage sports as a viable career choice,I have no doubt that there is an immediate need for and an enormous demand for the products that the joint venture will offer”says Neerav Tomar, CEO of IOS.
The MOU was agreed on the weekend of the 14th May 2010 after a visit from Mr. Tomar to London. It was Mr. Tomar’s second successive trip in a matter of months as, in addition to finalizing the MOU with ISM, he was concluding management deals for his key boxers and exploring certain opportunities in football. ISM Group Ltd will be visiting Delhi in the coming weeks to assess the service requirements for their European clientele, to finalize the shareholders’ agreement and to begin preparations for commencing operations in India.
